In collaboration with ONE DROP Foundation, gsmprjct° worked on the development of an innovative and surprising multisensory touring experience entitled AQUA: A JOURNEY INTO THE WORLD OF WATER. During this 30-minute journey, the visitor - who is in turn asked to be actor and spectator - is invited to discover and understand the vital importance of water.
Symbolic objects such as the glowing drops of water held by each visitor are intended to appeal to their sense of belonging, community and shared responsibility, and encourage their participation during the experience.
The heart of the experience is a circular room occupied in its centre by a stone well with a pump, representing the universal well, which indicates the state of the global water situation throughout the narrative thread. The surrounding walls are used as screens for a 360° projection that, with the help of new technologies, is influenced by the visitor’s movement before the screens. The glowing drops of water pulse in sync with the lighting and music.
The last section contains the more informative content of the experience. Through the use of interactive terminals, the visitor is presented with the facts about the global water situation and issues, as well as concrete actions they can adopt to become committed players in the preservation of water.
